Let me first greet you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It's 2013 and I want to be able to keep a photo project until the very end of the year.
I got inspired by this certain project I saw online. It's called the Sixty Four Colors project.
You can learn all about it HERE.
Now, I invited a friend of mine from Canada to do this project with me. She said yes. I was so happy since this meant it'd be more fun to do the project, PLUS, someone's going to remind me of the project. This way, I won't be lazy.
So, our project is called Project Diptych.
Sounds weird, I know. Let me explain what a Diptych is.
Diptych is a brilliant tool for photographic storytelling. They present two images which can be from the same session or they can be polar opposites to show opposition or contrasting ideas.
Our Project will be composed of 48 diptychs. 4 each month.
The theme for each month will be one color. Here's our list:
January - White
February - Red
March - Yellow
April - Brown
May - Teal
June - Blue
July - Orange
August - Green
September - Gray
October - Black
November - Peach/Cream
December - Purple/Violet
We submit our photos every end of the week. So for the first week of January, here's our first white diptych!
Guess which photo is mine!
Oh, yeah. We're only using our S3's for the photos. This makes it easier to take shots.
So, anyways... our group name is called...
The Shy Police!!
This came from both our last names! Po and Li. And since we're shy... you get the point.
I hope you guys anticipate the rest of our diptychs!!
To keep track of our project, here's our TUMBLR LINK.
Thanks and HAPPY NEW YEAR ONCE MORE!
